Reflection
The most difficult part of this project was locating the position of the Bump Switch. Getting the car to move back and forth was easy and then adding the sensors was not as challenging. The only challenging part was finding the value where the sonar would not touch anything yet return to the other side. Finally, when it came the time to add the bump Switch it was difficult. The most difficult part of it was trying to find where it should be placed. This part was difficult because it you set it in the wrong position it would only beggining when the bump switch was pressed or it would only end when it was pressed. Then Tostado questioned us regarding the order in which our program was being read by the computer. Therefore, we realized that putting the Bump Swith command in the begginng was the best decision because it would essentially read the program backwards. It would begging by the bump switch and since the value was 0 it would jump to the second part of the program do it everything and it would keep verying the value of the bump switch until it was 1 then it would complete the cycle once more and then end.
In addition, another difficult part of the project was the perfection in which my team mates wanted the project to turn out to be. I wanted to get the job done they wanted to get it done and be perfect. Therefore, i had to work at their level and we were able to make the project to the best of all of our abilities. We learned that the team was only as strong as its weakest member.
Two things that were not part of the problem that could be used in our design would be a lever that automatically lifts the item without the use of anyone. So since our car was supposed to be a delivery car it should have been able to pick the items by themselves. Therefore, if having something that would pick up the item instead of us having to pick it up and send it back would have been more beneficial to the consumer. Secondly, our machine could have been more efficent with its complexity. Our machine could be a lot more complex but over all i am very proud of our machine.
